7 of the top coach drop off points in London

Date Posted: 06/01/2016

While London doesn’t appear particularly group friendly when it comes to transport, you might be surprised at how accessible the city really is, especially for coach travel.

Take a look at these seven coach drop off points which provide easy access to some of London’s most exciting attractions.

1. The Barbican Centre

The multi-arts centre and the surrounding estate can be easily accessed via coach, and provides a pick-up and drop off point for visitors.

On a visit, groups can take their own private tour around the centre and its backstage areas with a Barbican explorer at a time that fits in with their itinerary.

Home to the London Symphony Orchestra and playing host to a diverse range of art, music, theatre, dance, film and creative learning events throughout the year, the Barbican offers group discounts as well.

GTOs should call the groups department for more information.

2. ArcelorMittal Orbit

ArcelorMittal Orbit

Created by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond, the looping structure of the ArcelorMittal Orbit is an iconic symbol of the London 2012 Games. Climbing up one of the UK’s largest sculptures at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford provides impressive panoramas for those who’d like a bird’s eye view of the capital.

Group rates are available for 15 or more, and coach parking, which is located on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park in the north end of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, must be booked at least 72 hours ahead of a visit.

GTOs will receive a discount of £1.80 per person when booking for parties of 20 or more, and there is a coach drop off and pick up point.
