The Excellence Award

Pictured above: 2011 winner, Richard Woolliss collects his trophy at last year's Group Leisure Awards ceremony.
What is The Excellence Award?
Launched in 2008, the award seeks to recognise outstanding service to group travel organisers by individuals within the group travel trade and is a part of the Group Leisure Awards. We look to shine the spotlight on those who work for and with GTOs, from tour operators, theatres, hotels, coach companies, attractions, tourist boards, ticketing companies, associations, etc. Our finalists have been nominated by group organisers and chosen by the Group Leisure team, based on the experiences and information our readers have shared with us.
How it works
If group travel organisers have worked with a finalist and think they deserve the award, based on the service they have given them as a GTO, they are eligable to vote for them through the pages of Group Leisure magazine or online here at groupleisure.com. The vote is backed up with the organiser needing to explain, in no more than 50 words, why they have chosen them. Voting for The Excellence Award 2012 will open in April.
