Celebrate Christmas at Kew’s winter wonderland
Date Posted: 20/07/2012
Groups can celebrate the festive season at Kew in Surrey between the 8th December and 6th January, and discover a winter wonderland complete with Santa’s grotto, retail therapy, winter tree tours, a vintage carousel and tasty seasonal treats.
Guided tours and shopping
Besides Kew’s traditionally-dressed Christmas tree at Victoria Gate, parties can take part in a free daily guided winter trees tour, or alternatively explore individually on a self-guided walk.
The Victoria Plaza shop is home to a variety of festive and botanically-inspired presents and stocking fillers, and for a tasty treat, roasted chestnuts and mulled wine will be available on weekends outside the south end of the Princess of Wales conservatory.
Children can meet Father Christmas in his grotto up until 23rd December, and kids both young and old can ride the vintage carousel or take part in festive face painting.
Incentives for group bookings
Groups of ten or more people can access discounted rates to Kew if booked two weeks in advance.
