Starring role for Russell Grant

Astrologer and Strictly Come Dancing star, Russell Grant, is to take over Michael Crawford’s role as The Wizard in the West End production of The Wizard of Oz, from the 14th February.

In addition to the eponymous character, Russell will also play Professor Marvel, for whom a new song, The Wonders of the World, has been specially written, and is just one of several brand new songs by Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Russell will star alongside Sophie Evans, runner-up in BBC series Over the Rainbow, who takes over the lead role of Dorothy from Danielle Hope.
